we conducted an awareness program on Maternal and Child health at Angadpur area. Blood pressure and weight were measured while haemoglobin tests were also done for 62 mothers. Children accompanying them were also checked up by Rtn. Dr. Ashis Chatterjee. Iron tablets were distributed and the children were also given refreshments. Rtn. Dr. Dipanwita Sen explained about the basics of hygiene and nutrition to the mothers and expecting mothers. We are thankful to the team of Nurses from The Mission Hospital and also the technician for conducting haemoglobin test. We are also thankful to Builders Association of India and Angadpur Village Committee, under the leadership of Rtn. Satyabrata (Bappa) Sen for providing warm hospitality and necessary refreshments. Special thanks to Dr. B. R. Dutta and our Club members for sparing their valuable time and attending this event which was the focus of Rotary Calendar for the month of July.
